You have the option of strapping a screen you purchased for cheap from Amazon to your own wrist in an attempt to look hip and voguish… or you could sport a classic timepiece to appear… well… classic! Some luxury brands that may come to mind when you think of classic mechanical timepieces could be Fossil or Nixon, but you will most likely never see any crossovers within the two departments. Which, in turn, means you’ll probably never find a smartwatch that would appear to be as exemplary as a classic Swiss watch, just like you will never come across a well designed and engineers mechanical wrist-watch that could pull off the tech-savvy, cool aesthetic the way a smartwatch can.
As I said, the crossover is insanely rare, but it does in fact exist, and it can be sported by both men and women. For example, take the Edgemere Reserve from Martenero. It’s a classic mechanical timepiece that knowingly deviates from the traditional mechanical watch aesthetic, appearing as a modern touch to your wrist, yet still managing to stick to its true roots mechanically on the inside. A version of the original Edgemere, the Edgemere Reserve, comes equipped with a 40 hour power reserve, as it name may suggest. A pristine design and circular body, it sits very nicely on the wearers wrist in any formal or informal social gathering. The CMF details are what brings the modernity in this timepiece, having a watch-face that wears an embossed stripe texture, as well as having an eye-catching color scheme that toys with whites, blacks, blues, and reds.
The Edgemere Reserve has a Miyota 9132 on its interior, along with numerous complications, such as a date-window, a 24-hour dial, and a dial just for indicating the amount of power left in the 40 hour reserve. Having an extremely luxurious 316L case that has a double-domed sapphire crystal glass on top, in addition to a sapphire glass back. The wearer also has many hypoallergenic leather straps to choose from that come in a variety of rich colors. Each one of these watches are constructed and tested within the USA, specifically at a 2nd generation watchmaker workshop right outside of Brooklyn. And don’t forget the Edgemere Reserve timepiece comes with a 2-year warranty, so you’ll never have to worry.

Although, its just one design, having 5 different options gives it the feeling of being totally different watches. If you want something subtle, there is white. Blue and dark blue if you want to rep the sporty look. Silver if you are feeling dressy, or black if you are going for a bold statement.
THE POWER RESERVE
24 HOUR TIME
There are three layers on the dial between the hour ring, the base, and the numbers. This results in a stacking effect when you look at it, which most watches don’t have.
