There used to be a time when we, human beings, considered nap time an essential part of our daily routines. Things have begun to change now, as human beings have begun to realize that the time taken to sleep can be used to indulge in quite a lot of activities instead! This new design known as a sleep mask, literally does away with the need for an 8-hour sleep pattern! This mask relies on the principle of Polyphasic sleep patterns and monitors your brainwaves, waking you at the right moments feeling refreshed and ready to get back to work!
With this, a person needs to have a cumulative sleep time of only about two hours a day! The sleep mask uses a series of sensors to monitor your biological signals, including your brainwaves (EEG), muscle tension (EMG) and eye movements (EOG). All of this data is transmitted using wireless technology to a smartphone and is analyzed via an application. Currently on Kickstarter looking for funding, the sleep mask could soon hit production lines and be made available with prices starting at $225!
