When you look at it on paper Holden’s Time Attack concept is unbelievable and exciting. It was built for the 50th anniversary of the first ever Bathurst 1000 victory and has the fastest acceleration in the entire world and no I am not joking. In fact, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in a little over one second, making Time Attack almost twice as fast as the fastest accelerating car in the world! You better prepare yourself for this ride and make sure you don’t get whiplash!
The body of Time Attack is constructed using carbon fiber and Kevlar, which helps give it high strength to its weight ratio. It comes with four axial flux permanent magnet electric motors that give out 250kW each, which totals out to 1360 horsepower or 100kW, as well as 3,240 Nm of torque! With all of the juicy insides built into this car, I cannot imagine how much this would go on sale for. All I must say is kids, you better start saving up now so you can afford it when you get older! After running a simulation with this set up, the Time Attack went from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.25 seconds! A simulation almost looks like a video game, showing the care drag racing giving the viewer an idea of how it would be in real life. This vehicle was designed with the Bathurst 1000 in mind that was created to run on a virtual reconstruction of the Mount Panorama circuit. If you want to see a simulation of the Time Attack running its victory lap, watch the video above!
