The Caswell’s Morphing Karambit knife uses parallel motion linkage to open and close and, oh my, is it ever beautiful. Even while you have your hand wrapped around the handle, the blade can slide outwards still in a swift, decisive action. No worries though, the blade does not touch your fingers or palm as it slides out and in.
This product design came about by trying to find a solution to being able to deploy the blade from the knife without injuring yourself. It really is whimsical to watch the way this knife operates and safely at that. Typically, regular pocket knives like the ones you can find at walmart or on amazon have a single pivot design, which means the blade would have to travel through your fingers to be opened or closed. With Karambit’s parallel motion linkage, the blade slides out acting like a ferocious jungle cat claw.
Whether you are cutting, shearing, or shredding something, the curved blade is designed for almost any activity. It is created from Steel with a Tungsten DLC coating, making it incredibly efficient for every day tasks or emergencies. It can cut through seatbelts, paracords, medical packages, tough clothing, etc. For its many functions, this knife seems like the perfect EDC for safety personnel, first responders, hobbyists, or outdoor lovers. To top it off, it even comes with a clip!
