A Planter With The Charisma Of A Bookshelf

We have all seen those very large floating living walls that are outdoors, replacing any pots or planting boxes you may have from Lowes, Target, or Walmarts gardening center. The living wall is a vertical panel that house living and growing plants adding a very interesting touch to any homes exterior. Let me introduce the Plantashelf as it brings charm and a natural pleasure just being around the greenery, as well as its simple and minimal design of being a shelf that is wall-mounted. Looking like a product we may find at Ikea, it has been created to be as effortless as installing a bookshelf, the Plantashelf adds a floral touch to your walls giving it a green appeal much different than what the other indoor planters offer.

It is very important for the user to view the Plantashelf not as a planter, but more of a piece of bookshelf-like decor that is meant for the home. It’s this crossover between products that makes the Plantashelf the breakthrough garden product of the year. Designed to be clean, modular, and unique from any other planter, the Plantashelf will mount on your wall in any way you choose. It has interlocked pieces that let the user construct the shelf the way they desire. The planter shelfs fix up against the wall with concealed fixing points and independent modules that can be connected together with the mortise and tenon joints that are in the side of the planter itself. You now have planter shelving units that can be integrated together to create a seamless fixture that sits against the wall without the unsightly fixtures or screws in view.

The Plantashelf brings nature indoors, while still retaining the shelving element. The ABS construction of the shelf has a very linear appearance and the planters then can be added into the space that has been created by the U shaped bend within the shelf. What closes off this design is a transparent panel on the front, which allows the user to see the soil level and the plant growing. There is a reservoir underneath the soil that will drain any excess water that has been given to the plant and then will be used when the plant is to be watered again. The Plantashelf will give any room the green splash it needs, while also acting as a mantelpiece. If you wanted to be very adventurous you could even use this in your kitchen, adding a herb garden to an empty wall, giving the space just a little bit of beautiful and unique decor without using any of your precious surface or storage space.
