We have made such advancements when it comes to technology that we now have socks that are also fitness trackers. Unlike the wearable that you would typically wear around your wrist like a smart watch, giving you only a fraction of the data you should be receiving, the Sensoria Socks are constructed with 100% textile sensors all within them that will give you accurate and in real time complete feedback!
There are four magnetic stubs and a horse-shoe shaped anklet that snaps out of the sock that gathers data from the integrated sensors. Designed cleverly, you snap the anklet on and then roll the sock over it to keep it in place keeping the technology secure and concealed. No need for clips or straps, this waterproof fitness tracker is one of a kind. The anklet is an IoT device that sends a bunch of data to the Sensoria app on your phone, which can guide you on your run if connected to headphones, letting you know your burned calories, when you put pressure on your heel, what the heart rate monitor is tracking and how many steps per minute too. Once you are finished running, you detach the anklet and charge it with its own charger. Since the sensors are entirely textile based they are able to be thrown in the washing machine, which is very convenient. This is better than any Tom Tom, Garmin, or Fitbit that you wear around your wrist, as it doesn’t always give you accurate readings.
Considering the data accuracy and AI coaching by Sensoria, this is definitely a unique and easy way to track your fitness. We wonder what other type of wearables we’ll see in 2018.
