Happy Weekends friends! How are you all doing? Good or bad but this lockdown has converted our earth into a beautiful place. Earth is healing now. I really wish it would be the same the lockdown gets over. People should understand that how much waste they are throwing into the rivers and oceans. This waste is really harmful for the nature. The Superegg Installation is a touch upon our capitalist dispositions and its effect on nature. By combining consumerism and creation into one hard-hitting sculpture. The art piece enables turn human-created ocean waste into an object that sparks conversations while saving the environment. The 6’6″ excessive shape comes crafted from 3000 Nespresso and Keurig single-use espresso pods that have been pulled out of the ocean. These aluminum pods had been then set up onto aluminum sheets which have been ultimately wrapped onto plywood rings to create the shape of an egg. This company has done really one of the best work by converting the Ocean waste into art. Reformation, Levi’s, Zara are few of the brands who recycle the waste and make their products best from the waste.
The Superegg set up looks as if a Fabergé egg from afar. With the hundreds of colorful pods forming patterns on it, but the magic is double at night, whilst a mild in the set up illuminates the structure, causing it to create mesmeric shadows like tinted glass mosaics at church buildings and cathedrals. The egg acts as evidence of ways destructive our consumerism can be on the environment, whilst being a reminder that we can usually flip our waste and wasteful behaviors into something more significant and nurturing. I wish everyone thinks like the same and few of them atleast could convert the ocean waste into art.
