Have you ever wondered to yourself why potato peelers come with brown handles? It’s to make them blend in with the peels, therefore you the user accidentally throw it away in the trash and have to buy a new peeler from Walmart. Pretty sneaky huh? The Rotary Peeler however was designed to be sophisticated in a way that avoids these accidental throw outs.
This peeler has a simple design, but manages to have four different functions. How you ask? The Rotary Peeler is equipped with three different blade options for peeling depending on your needs. One is for potatoes, a serrated blade for softer fruits and vegetables, and the third allows the user to cut smooth juliennes. Slang terms for Julienne are allumette or french cut. Its definition states it is when foods such as carrots or celery is sliced into long thin strips. The fourth function this peeler has is a potato eye weeder. It’s hard to believe that such a small kitchen tool could have functionality multiplied by four! Furthermore, the whole peeler can be disassembled to make it easier for the user to clean it up well. Who knows, perhaps having such a wide variety of options for peeling and cutting juliennes will create a passion for cooking!
